Posted 07/09/2016 I am the second owner of this 1982 Corvette and have been since 1991, it has been in San Diego since 1994, clear Illinois Title. It still has its near mint original red leather interior and dark claret paint, 1 of 853 in that color. The paint shines like glass BUT has chips, scratches and one area on the drivers side fender / door that was repainted poorly (before I owned it) due to a long scratch I was told, I never had that redone because its not that noticeable unless you really examine it. This car has never been in ANY accident, period! It has a rare CRAGAR rear window louver, I have been offered 400 dollars for this part alone at several Corvette shows. Under the hood is all original except for hoses, distributor cap/ coil/ wires. I have originals with the shield that goes over the plug wires. The interior is very excellent and all original except for the Alpine radio... I have the original radio for you as well. The outside of the glove box door has been autographed by Zora Duntov, Larry Shinoda and Dave Mclellan, and I have pix to prove that. Only other non original items are the KYB shocks and S/S calipers, master cylinder and brake lines. The wheels are original to the car as you can see from the window sticker, the tires have maybe 10k miles on them. Everything on this car works as it should except the power antenna and A/C is kinda warm... but it works, needs a recharge I'm sure BUT I have not worried about it because I only drive this car to shows. All smog equipment and engine / computer are original. The engine compartment and underside is original and are not detailed.... exhaust system is original and IF I was keeping I would replace it, its got surface rust and the mufflers are 34 years old! This is a very original car and it starts, runs, stops like a new car..... I would not worry about driving across country tomorrow! I have window sticker, factory service manual, original radio, cap/ coil/ wire shield and dealer sales brochure and owners manual.
